We want ideas what to dress up as, and nothing expensive either
and bear in mind, we are going to a gig, so we don't want to wear anything that we'll get really hot in
& don't suggest pirates or fairies... :]

My girlfriend and I are going to a fancy dress party next weekend, the theme is "retro" which I think mainly means 60s/70s/80s/90s film & TV-type retro.
I'm not a dressing up kind of guy so I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for how to get a retro fancy dress costume that's cheap, funny, and easy to wear.
Importantly, I have to find it/buy it in 1 week.
Also, if you can think of ideas for my girlfriend & I as a duo, even better... (not Batman and Robin)

i have a heroes & villains fancy dress to go to but me & my fella don't want to go as the usual ones you see ie:wonder woman,superman etc.

Me and my friends want to dress up for a local fancy dress competition but we aren't sure what to be. There are 5 of us and we are all girls but im sure a couple of us wouldn't mind dressing up as boys.
We need something that is quite easy to do but will still look good & something that people will recognise. We have already thought of the wizard of oz but we wanted some more ideas so that we can all decide on exactly what we want.

people have said things like school girls/st. trinians (but its both guys and girls going)
or army - like with the tutu's and bandeu tops with a cut up V over top.

I could do with some ideas for New Years Eve, me & my husband are going to a local pub and it's fancy dress, there is no theme, so far we have thought about Morticia and uncle fester from the Addams family, what's putting me off it the fact that I know it's going to be boiling hot in the pub and having a long black wig on is going to make me even hotter. We don't have to match up, I have in my collection of things that could be used ...a black trilby.......a brown pair of cowboy boots...... a brown pair of slouchy boots.......a cowboy hat. I am mid forties, not a bad figure, size 12/14 short blond hair, I don't really want loads of body on display, but would like something a bit nice!! any ideas would be welcomed. CHEERS!!

I was thinking I'd quite like to use gold body paint but need some ideas on what to wear?
Grecian Goddess is the only style I can think of that would look okay with gold body paint like a statue kind of thing. Other than that I don't really know.
